This position will provide excellent customer service and assist with all aspects of resident events at University Center. As with all positions, other duties may be assigned by a supervisor in order to meet program needs and emergency situations.


The Conduct Assistant is responsible for:

  • Receive and process residents’ concerns regarding conduct
  • Maintain electronic student files and creating spreadsheets or forms
  • Schedules appointments for professional staff members
  • Properly field concerns from students, parents, and university affiliates
  • Collaborate with university affiliates and other staff members to assist with addressing student needs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student development and professional standards consistent with the mission of the University Cen
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas, and overall building.
  • Assist in the coordination of the conduct process including entering data into spreadsheets and creating conduct letters.
  • Create advertisements, notices, monthly calendars, and other signage as needed
  • Assist with the development and execution of plans for resident events or activities at University Center.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Education/Experience and Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible and capable of prioritizing tasks when working in a busy and changing environment
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with students, parents, colleagues, and University affiliates as needed.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity
  • Experience working in a higher educational and office setting.
  • Must be enrolled part or full time in college.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
