  • Overview

    This position will provide excellent customer service and assist with all aspects of housing services at University Center. As with all positions, other duties may be assigned by a supervisor in order to meet program needs and emergency situations.


    • Assist with daily administrative operations for the Housing Services staff
    • Scan and maintain housing information for electronic student files
    • Assist with move-in and move-out, as needed
    • Create spreadsheets and forms, as needed
    • Demonstrate a commitment to student development and professional standards consistent with the mission of the University Cen
    • Properly field concerns from students, parents, and university affiliates
    • Maintain the organization and distribution of bedroom and closet keys
    • Collaborate with university affiliates and other staff members to assist with addressing student needs.
    • Demonstrate professional and mature decision-making
    • Communicate concerns or needs for the physical improvements of the building to supervisor, as needed
    • Create advertisements, notices, monthly calendars, and other signage as needed
    • Assist with the development and execution of plans for resident events or activities at University Center.
    • Performing other duties as assigned


    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Previous experience working in an office setting is highly preferred
    • Flexible and capable of prioritizing tasks when working in a busy and changing environment
    • Ability to communicate efficiently with students, parents, colleagues, and University affiliates as needed.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner.
    • Experience working in an office setting


    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer)
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
