    This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing. The Creative Marketing Manager will support the Vice President of Marketing by making recommendations that support the strategic brand objectives. This role serves as the thought leader and ambassador of the Peak Campus brand. They are the primary author, editor, and governor of Peak Campus Identity Manual and the consistent execution of dayto-day brand tasks and special projects.


    The Creative Marketing Manager must develop and design innovative and creative materials that will build, elevate and evolve our corporate and property level brands.  Materials include print collateral, websites, logos, display graphics, custom campaigns, and special design projects and events.


    They will oversee all brand building and management activities, including but not limited to the Peak Property Marketing Store, Peak Express, the Peak Employee Store and agency management of the third-party partner(s). Additionally, they will coordinate presentations of creative concepts and design progress through the course of project work and creative assignments, including support of: internal departments, signage layouts and design strategies, transitions, business
    development, digital asset management, Peak Leadership Conference, and mentoring opportunities with fellow Marketing associates. 


    • Brand Identity Management: Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to establish, launch and maintain an Identity Manual, corporate collateral and promotional needs, corporate campaigns, and all related business documents. Provides written ad copy and/or visuals as appropriate by maintaining up to date understanding company service model and product categories, applying consistent style and messaging adapted for the intended audience, purpose, budget and applied usage, reflecting applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies etc. Create an agency approach and reputation for “Peak Creative Services” that breeds creativity and differentiation from other student housing competitors.
    • Property Marketing Store and Peak Express: Provide day-to-day assistance and strategic guidance for the Property Marketing Store and Peak Express tool, including pricing and property budget support, products, inventory anagement, reporting and analytics, templates, photography, vendor management, and centralization compliance. Oversee the development and implementation of direct marketing programs and campaigns to raise the levels of customer acquisition and retention. Maintain and enhance the property store over time through measuring and reporting successes and challenges on an ongoing basis.
    • Peak Employee Store: Provide day-to-day oversight and strategic guidance for the Peak Employee Store, including culture and program integration. Maintain and enhance the employee store over time. 
    • Agency Management: Own our primary marketing vendor/partner relationship in all aspects.  Oversee copy and content development meeting regularly with internal and external teams to assess needs, define initiatives scope and deadlines, develop creative briefs, review and direct project progress, review and direct work product and determine whether project is on target and within the scope of the creative brief. Pursue new creative agencies to partner with for project-based needs. Oversee the project’s design, strategy and needs as a liaison between the creative agency and the client.
    • Campaign Creation and Management: Develop national bi-annual campaigns for leasing season and renewal season, along with other special campaigns upon request, that are designed to drive specific and measurable consumer behaviors. Must be an excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
    • Internal Departmental Support: Primary creative design support to Marketing and all sister departments for various branding needs. Includes internal Peak Corporate Campaigns like Awards/Recognition Programs, HR/Recruiting, Business Development, new initiatives or programs, etc.
    • Signage: Partner with Operations to provide strategic direction for all signage projects, including acquisitions, dispositions, and name changes for temporary and permanent signage. Support the New Development Manager with signage direction as needed for new developments.
    • Transition Support: Work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop brand, collateral, and basic marketing material set ups in support for acquisitions including name changes.
    • New Development Support: Work closely with the Director of Marketing to provide strategic design direction for all new development projects. Establish a creative agency partner for the project at hand based on the needs for timing, budget, and goal. Serve as the liaison between the client and agency to articulate and bring to life the project’s needs. Oversee the creative development process of the brand build out. Work closely with the Sales and Operations team to execute the brand through completion in regard to signage, temp spaces, collateral, digital presence and more.
    • Business Development Support: Work closely with the VP of Marketing and VP of Business Development to support the growth of the management platform through RFPs, Company Profiles, Pitch Books, Award Applications, Client Holiday Cards, Internal and External PR campaigns/art, Management Advertisements, etc.
    • Leadership Conference Support: Support the VP of Training and VP of Marketing to create annual conference theme/visuals. Design, establish and launch all branded materials relating to conference, including logos, print material, signage, electronic templates, promotional items. 
    • Digital Asset Management: Serve as the master administrator of property brand materials (color palettes, fonts, style elements) and digital assets, including logos, floor plans, site maps, POI maps, etc. Support the Digital Production Manager in the collection, organization and ongoing maintenance of property photography.
    • Special Projects (Corporate and Property Level): Process requests for various special recurring and one-off projects for individual properties and the home office. Including custom property design consults, new initiatives, or corporate projects like support for Diamond Club, Office Events, Office Design, etc.
    • Graphic Design: offer supplemental support and guide creative work of new developments.
    • Administrative: responsible for processing invoices, managing graphic files, market research and building reports as needed with marketing and leasing data.
    • Mentor: This role also acts as a mentor and an example to fellow teammates by responding to questions, leading by example, providing guidance on resource utilization, and coaching, where appropriate, to ensure the brand voice is properly applied to all marketing mediums and channels.


    • Business or marketing-related (graphic design, advertising) degree required
    • Experience in multifamily or student housing sales, leasing and marketing required
    • Experience with brand development and execution is required
    • Proven experience in customer and market research
    • Relevant product and industry knowledge
    • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel
    • High attention to detail is required
    • Must have strong ability to multi-task
    • Experience with relevant software applications
