    The Marketing Design Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing with heavy interaction with the Senior Vice President.  This role serves as the thought leader and ambassador of the Peak Campus brand.  They are the primary author, editor, and governor of Peak Campus Identity Manual and the consistent execution of day-to-day brand tasks and special projects.    


    The Marketing Design Specialist creates innovative and industry-leading materials that will build, elevate and evolve our corporate and property level brands.  Materials include print collateral, websites, logos, display graphics, custom campaigns, and special design projects and events. 


    This position also coordinates presentations of creative concepts and design progress, including support of:  internal departments, signage, property transitions, business development, digital asset management, the annual Peak Campus conference, and mentoring opportunities with fellow Marketing associates.    


    • Graphic Design: Create full suite of industry-leading marketing materials, to include leasing campaigns, digital and print ads, signs/banners, annual conference theme graphics, t-shirt designs, promotional designs, company presentations, etc.
    • Photography/Video: Manage photo archive, digitally enhance/edit photos, maintain resource list of video production partners for 3D renderings, flythrough video, drone photography, etc.
    • Brand Identity Management:  Establish, launch and maintain an Identity Manual, corporate collateral and promotional needs, corporate campaigns, and all related business documents.  Provides written ad copy and/or visuals as appropriate by maintaining up to date understanding company service model and product categories, applying consistent style and messaging adapted for the intended audience, purpose, budget and applied usage, reflecting applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies etc.  Create an agency approach and reputation for “Peak Creative Services” that breeds creativity and differentiation from other student housing competitors. 
    • Agency Interaction: Work closely with marketing vendor partners. Oversee copy and content development meeting regularly with internal and external teams to assess needs, define initiatives, scope and deadlines, develop creative briefs, review and direct project progress, review and direct work product and determine whether project is on target and within the scope of the creative brief.
    • Campaign Creation and Management: Develop national bi-annual campaigns for leasing season and renewal season, along with other special campaigns upon request, that are designed to drive specific and measurable consumer behaviors.   Must be an excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
    • Internal Departmental Support: Provide support to Marketing and all sister departments for various branding needs.  Includes internal Peak Corporate Campaigns like Awards/Recognition Programs, HR/Recruiting, new initiatives or programs, etc. 
    • Signage:  Provide creative/strategic direction for all signage projects, including acquisitions, dispositions, and name changes for temporary and permanent signage.  Support the New Development team with signage direction as needed for new developments. 
    • Transition Support:  Work closely with the Marketing Manager to provide marketing support for acquisitions, dispositions and name changes. 
    • Business Development Support:  Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Senior Vice President to partner with Peak’s Business Development team to support the growth of the management platform through RFPs, Company Profiles, Pitch Books, Award Applications, Client Holiday Cards, Internal and External PR campaigns/art, Management Advertisements, etc. 
    • Annual Conference Support:  Support the Senior Vice President and Marketing Manager to create, establish and launch all branded materials relating to conference, including logos, print material, signage, electronic templates, promotional items, etc.
    • Digital Asset Management:  Serve as the master administrator of property brand materials (color palettes, fonts, style elements) and digital assets, including logos, floor plans, site maps, POI maps, etc. 
    • Special Projects (Corporate and Property Level):  Process requests for various special recurring and one-off projects for individual properties and the home office.  Including custom property design consults, new initiatives, or corporate projects like support for Diamond Club, Office Events, Office Design, etc.
    • Administrative: Responsible managing graphic files, market research and building reports as needed with marketing and leasing data.


    • Business or marketing-related (graphic design, advertising) degree required
    • Experience in multifamily or student housing sales, leasing and marketing a plus
    • Experience with brand development and execution is required
    • Proven experience in customer and market research
    • A strong command of visual design, including strong image editing experience. Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud) including proficient knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro. At least intermediate experience with After Effects and Lightroom.
    • Marketing department is a MAC environment
