  • Overview

    This position will have a focus on providing operational analysis with a strong emphasis on performance analytics, budgeting, and forecasting.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Director of FP&A to develop and enhance Adaptive Insights, our cloud based finance solution. This includes providing ongoing training and support to 100+ users.
    • Maintain the validity of reports in our Business Intelligence System. Serve as the liaison between Operations and BI with respect to report design and development.  Provide support and training for the Market Survey system.
    • Support the entire organization with Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis. This includes assistance with financial modeling, performance evaluation, and preparation of forecasts. 
    • Support the budget and business plan process for all properties in the managed portfolio. This includes working closely with departments across the organization to develop cost drivers and budgets.
    • Prepare & provide analysis on a deck of monthly reports provided to Senior Management and the Executive Team to evaluate the performance of the managed portfolio.
    • Study & analyze performance metrics for all properties and partner with the Regional Vice Presidents to use the data to drive the science of performance across the platform.
    • Provide financial assistance on retail spaces associated with the managed portfolio and coordinate with Regional Managers and Asset Managers as appropriate.
    • Provide analytical support & market research as it relates to real estate investments for potential acquisitions and developments.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an analyst or related Student Housing experience
    • Real Estate experience is highly preferred
    • Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, data extraction, and strong financial acumen is required
    • Strong quantitative and technical/computer skills
    • Proficiency in Word and Microsoft Excel is required
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred
    • Strong real estate financial modeling experience is preferred
    • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
    • Must be comfortable working directly with C-level executives
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a growing, dynamic team
