    As a Director, this position will be responsible for leading Peak’s talent acquisition and engagement strategies, to include recruitment best practices, communication and branding, and people programming.  In this role, the Director must work with a high degree of independence, developing short term, long term and strategic goals for the team with support of the Chief People Officer, as well as collaborating with all departments as necessary, especially marketing and training.

    Responsibilities

    • Overall responsibility to ensure successful execution of talent acquisition strategy
    • Provide support and guidance for talent systems, processes, and programs
    • Partner with marketing to develop and maintain Peak’s employment brand to attract candidates, maintain our reputation and standing in the industry, and ensure consistency across a national portfolio
    • Work with existing vendors and partners to understand their activities and responsibilities in delivering against current strategies
    • Collaborate with training and marketing to ensure people programs and talent support are contributing to the delivery of short term objectives and longer term strategy
    • Determine and execute the optimal mix of people programs to ensure successful execution
    • Formulate plans and manage procurement budgets for properties
    • Execute effective, consistent public relations and outreach campaigns leveraging Peak resources and other channels to obtain feedback and build engagement
    • Coach, mentor and develop a strong talent team into a world-class team of recruiting, development, and communications professionals
    • Ensure that communications and marketing contribute meaningfully to the company’s people goals while stimulating innovative, creative, and proactive thinking

    Qualifications

    This position is required to be based out of our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.  

    • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an HR department or company, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a similar sized organization or department in an organization or agency with various locations
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, Marketing, Communication or other Business related field
    • Experience in multi-family (student housing preferred) HR, sales, or marketing preferred
    • Knowledge with planning and processes in attending, exhibiting, and speaking at events/ conferences
    • Must be collaborative, have experience navigating dynamic entrepreneurial environments, proactive and resourceful, and be able to build for scale and innovation
    • Recruiting agency experience preferred, and could be in lieu of student housing experience
